RC Control horns VERSION 2

RC Control horns VERSION 2

thingiverse

Version 2 of my popular RC plane/wing control horns. The previous version worked great and was virtually indestructible, if you know your slicer settings, anyway. (I had a few comments about how they weren't strong enough, broke easy, from people who don't change settings or know that you even can.) I printed these with PLA at 210, 40% infill, and (this is important for even MORE strength) 4 PERIMETER layers. Two works ok. Previous version was snapping around 10 ft pounds. This version widens the riser by 0.25mm on each side (0,5mm thicker total), thickens the re-enforcement base by 0.5mm, and changes the shape of the receiving holes and shrinks the size of the base. I did these changes only for special elevons I made on a wing using balsa tapered in such a way that the previous base was too big. The changes I made for increased strength are for peace of mind on larger wings. The older version weighs less and never failed on me.
