This is a remake of https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3028435 I tried to do a make but it wouldn't upload the stl files so posted a new one. Made this using axles and shocks left over from an upgrade to my Axial SCX10 2. The 8 suspension links and steering link are M4 threaded rod with Axial rod ends screwed on. The only thing I had to buy was an SCX10 gearbox, £9 from EBAY and £2 for threaded rod so a really cheap truck if you have a box of spares doing nothing. When I first tested it I was expecting two things. Firstly being 3D printed expected it to break and also expected it to be a bit rubbish at crawling, however I was surprised that nothing broke and it climbed things my SCX10 2 couldn’t possibly get up. So now the SCX10 sits on the shelf and I use this primarily. I have modified and newly created some parts from the original. I have extended the wheelbase to standard 313mm so any bodyshell could be fitted but I actually like the Wltoys one. All the parts are now scaled correctly. Using the SCX10 axles and gearbox give it reliability and the link lengths below give a good driveshaft angle. front lowers 127mm front uppers 114mm rear lowers 110mm rear uppers 105mm front driveshaft 135mm rear driveshaft 120mm The only weak part is the body which is quite thin so I have beefed mine up with hot glue and strong tape on the inside. Three cross chassis supports are needed, I made these with hollow plastic tube with brass 3mm inserts. These are at the back and at the roof hinge(80mm and white in the pictures) and between the bonnet supports(48mm). Files named with x2 need two printed. The servo mount fits to the axle using the link mounts with the link mount relocated back a bit on that component. The file wltoysRC layout 50percent.stl shows approximate positioning of components to help put it together. It is scaled down 50% so don’t print this. You will need 45, 30, 25, 18, 12 and 10mm M3 capheads to complete. Also threaded rod, spacers, motor, ESC, servo etc. Going forward I will make a few mods like panhard for the front and trailing arms for the back. I’m powering it with a 550 Titan on a 12 pinion and 3S so not much strain on the drivetrain but if I go brushless might need the mods. Currently torque steer not an issue and no bump steer with the servo on the axle. As it stands it will go up 60 degrees with grip, and side hill 40+ degrees without the spare tyre on.
