EDIT 2020.01.31: Added a more robust Version of each centerpiece. From my and others expierience, the weakest point of the propeller was the areas around the screwholes in the centerpiece. Of each centerpiece, I designet a version called "Centerpiece_robust" with the weak area enforced by 60% material thickness. Have fun! EDIT 2019.04.20: I have upscaled the 8.5 x 7.5 version to 130% and tested it on a Pylon Racer / Hotliner with 600 Watts (Red plane in the Pictures.) Worked really well! EDIT 2019.04.19: Added Spinners with 2mm and with 3mm mounting hole. EDIT 2019.04.06: Tested the 8.5 inch blades until they failed. It took an astonishing 1000 Watts and well over 18'000 rpms to destroy them! That's impressive. Caution: This test was done at room temperature and with fresh PLA. Be aware that the maximum load will decrease significantly over time, at different temperatures or with other materials! Tested the 8.5 x 7 blades on a fast plane yesterday, worked very well @ 180 Watts. (3S LiPo, 17 Amps) ________________________________________________________________ EDIT 2019.04.03: Added STEP-File Corrected orientation of the centerpieces and the prop blades. Now, all the parts are saved in correct orientation, ready to print. Print the blades with supports on! ________________________________________________________________ EDIT 2019.04.02: Added a Centerpiece with 6mm hole. Added pitch information to the file names of the blades. Added some higher pitch blades. Also I have measured the geometric pitch of the original blades in my CAD and it seems to be slightly more than I originally wrote. Now, there are the following blades included: - 6 x 3.5 - 6 x 5 - 7 x 4 - 7 x 6 - 8 x 5 - 8 x 7 - 8.5 x 5.5 - 8.5 x 7.5 - 9 x 6 - 9 x 8 ________________________________________________________________ Original Text: Just another folding propeller. There are various blades from 6 to 9 inch (prop diameter, not blade length) in the files. I use the 8.5 inch version which works very well. The pitch should be around than half the diameter. So with the 8 inch blades, it has around 4 inches pitch Caution: This propeller is not designed for high power motors. I disclaim liability for any damage caused by this propeller. At 12'000 rpms, the tip reaches over 500 km/h which will hurt if you get hit... Test it carefully and don't stand in front of or nearby the propeller while testing. I suggest testing it with more power than it will be running in your airplane. I have tested the 8.5 inch blades up to 350 watts of electrical input power without any demage. Theres also a more robust version of the 8 inch blades and the center hub in the files which should be good for over 350 watts. Print with 100% infill and 3-4 perimeters.
