Help save your RC plane motor with with this break away motor mount. During a crash, the detentes release allowing the motor with the printed bracket to separate from the plane. Detentes hold strong enough during flight to prevent unintentional separation during aggressive aerobatics. This is set up for a motor with 31 mm center to center hole spacing. It is recommended to print the motor side out of something tough and flexible since it contains the spring (like PETG, ABS, ASA ..). Printing the plane side out of a different material will help reduce the tendency of the materials to stick together. It is recommended to print the motor side with the motor interface against the bed (so the spring flexing is in the layer).
