RC Plane Snow Skis for Millennium Master

RC Plane Snow Skis for Millennium Master

Starting with JUSS10's design, I reworked it quite a bit for the Tower (Flyzone) Millennium Master. I used the plane's existing landing gear wires, removed the wheels, and put on the skis. I used #64 rubber bands to create tension and hold the ski tip-up (but I'm sure a lot of different ones would work). I put 3mm collars on the wires to retain the skis. You need to make two of the mains skis. Print one as is, and the other mirror image. To fit the skis on my 200 x 200 mm print bed, I had to place the ski's diagonally, on their side. Put the side with the notch for the landing gear wire facing up. I raised the tip of the nose gear ski just slightly (from how it prints) by carefully softening the plastic with a heat gun and holding it up while it cooled. (Just a bit, so it's about the same height as the mains skis.) Here's a video of the maiden flight. https://youtu.be/giQDCvDN2tc
