I discovered the RC Shock shaft pliers, designed by Luisom77 and printed it out.

I did so in PETG and regular infill. The pliers functioned OK, untill I needed them for something witch required more force. Due to the design, these pliers had a minor flaw witch makes the top-part squeese open instead of close when applying much force on the grip.

So, I copied this design and made another version that suited me better.
Luisom77 might have intended his pliers to be printed very stiff with high infill and PLA, but I prefer PETG as it is less brittle.

So all credits go to Luisom77 with his fine design :
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4418072

I just tried to evolve the pliers and re-made in my own version with slightly altered dimensions which prevent the flaw I encountered.

Also, I changed the axle to a 3.2mm hole, suited for a 3mm-bolt .. and I'm considering an improved version with better fitting bolt and nut.

Print instructions

Category: R/C Vehicles Summary

I dicovered the RC Shock shaft pliers, designed by Luisom77 and printed it out.

I did so in PETG and regular infill.
