RCBS ChargeMaster Lite/Link Speed Improvement

I recently purchased an RCBS ChargeMaster Link and I was not impressed by how long it took to dispense. The most time consuming part was waiting for it to trickle up the last few tenths of a grain. I read online that the trickling phase was basically inversely proportional to how fast it dispensed powder during the fast dispensing phase and I decided to try printing apertures of various diameters to go on the end of the dispenser tube. I tried apertures of 9mm, 8mm, 7mm, 6mm, and 5mm diameters and I found for IMR 4064 the 6mm diameter aperture cut my average time to dispense 40ish grains of powder from 29 seconds to 15 seconds. It seems that for this diameter aperture the dispenser basically just does a fast run up and just hits the exact weight without trickling at all, usually. When it does trickle it is much faster. I have one overthrow (0.1 grains over) about every 10 or so cycles but it is so much faster it is worth it (you can just chuck the overthrow back in the hopper and run again or pull out a few grains of powder). It's a night and day difference (see below videos with the before and after). I suggest experimenting with the various nozzle diameters to see which diameter works the best for your powder. Disclaimer: I am not responsible if this modification results in overthrows. Always check that your load is the same or under the intended charge weight.
