Reading light switch box mount
thingiverse
A buddy of mine handed down this awesome reading light that's attached to a 15 mm diameter rod with a flexible neck to adjust the angle. I utilize it in my workspace to provide more illumination when measuring objects for modeling purposes. The challenge is the switch housing just dangles loose and there's no way to secure it, keeping it within easy reach. It also features a 5.5 mm barrel connector that keeps coming unplugged, so I decided to create a mount that will encircle the shaft and allow me to use a couple of zip ties to keep it in place. I'd greatly appreciate any tips for designers who are on a tight budget like myself, as I'm living on a very limited Social Security income. Doing these designs brings me joy, but I could really use some extra cash to purchase filament for testing my prints.
