Emergency release for retrofitting on rear doors for Tesla Model Y (here: MY MiC Q1/2022) Description: As is known, there is no manual emergency opening for the rear doors in case the vehicle has no electric power. In fact, there are hidden pull wires in the interior trim. This assembly is used in place of carpet plugs and can be easily removed with one finger if necessary. *** YouTube: https://youtube.com/shorts/8kdP4Fq_tyA?feature=share Feature: The pull wire can be fixed to this assembly with a cable tie. Then it also serves as an grip to open the door immediately in case of emergency. Assembly: Simply plug both components together. They hold tight immediately. If necessary, a drop of superglue can help. In the Car: First pry out the dummy plug using a flat screwdriver. The pull wire is located directly under the plug in the door. Use a key ring or cable tie to fix the pull wire. Note: Please perform test trials with the door open. Manual door openings disregard the need for the glass pane to be lowered first before opening (see operating instructions for front doors).
