Rear-facing Bike Mount for Contour Camera

Rear-facing Bike Mount for Contour Camera

thingiverse

I added an arm and a tube clamp to DaveStruve's universal Contour mount so that I could mount my Contour camera to my mountain bike facing backwards. It makes for some really cool videos when you're bombing down a section of trail with another rider behind you. I tested the mount out on a 15 mile ride today with some reasonably rough terrain, and it was rock solid. Instructions Print the three pieces (arm1, arm2, and the u-clam), put them together with some M6 screws and nuts, slide your Contour camera on and go take some videos. Unless your seat post is the same size as mine, you'll have to edit the scad files to update the diameter for arm1 and the U-clamp. I haven't tested them for many sizes, but I tried to keep everything parametric.
