To cover up any unsightly gaps, size this appropriately to your application, render and print. Depending on how you intend to attach it you may only need 4-8 magnets per ring (http://www.homedepot.com/p/Magcraft-Rare-Earth-1-8-in-x-1-16-in-Disc-Magnet-100-Pack-NSN0566/204721213), but I put holes for 32 for good measure. You can always reduce those or just skip some. I intend to use a paste laced with iron filings and I haven't tested its effectiveness yet. Also I didn't look up the correct spelling of "soffit" before naming these files. You can generate a new cross section using the provided php script. Be sure to manually add endpoints that will yield a flat bottom if your equations don't yield such naturally, like I did with [-12.75,0] and [13.5,0] at either end of the path. I've included the means for generating a whole ring, a split ring, a sample piece for checking that the width is sufficient without wasting too much plastic, and a pair of sample pieces for checking that split rings correctly interlock. You'll need https://github.com/openscad/scad-utils and sweep.scad from https://github.com/openscad/list-comprehension-demos to use these scad files.
