Recumbent Seat Clamp

Replacement parts for a recumbent seat clamp. Designed for a BikeE AT, which is out of production/out of buisness. (http://www.bicycleman.com/recumbents/bike_e/bike_e.htm) The original part was subject to a recall: http://www.cpsc.gov/en/recalls/2002/cpsc-bikee-corp-announce-recall-of-recumbent-bicycles/ We have test fit the parts but have not tested full usability. We will update as we have more information. Initially we planned to print in ABS after test fit, but due to Michigan Tech's recent paper that suggests possible strength advantages of PLA over ABS (http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.matdes.2014.02.038) we are going to see how these work first. Update: 2 years later and the original clamps are going strong. The bike has been ridden by 3 different people a few times a month. Currently the most consistent rider is a 230lb shot put/discus thrower on the UCSB track team. The clamps have far exceeded expectations. Instructions These were printed at 0.2mm, 2 shells, with 100% infill (structural part). We printed it on a raft with the flat portion on the plate. There was slight curling when we printed without a raft that is probably fine for use.
