Recurve Bow Stand

Recurve Bow Stand

thingiverse

With apologies to chemteacher628 (thing:2128977) for similarities in design, this is a folding tripod bowstand for a recurve bow, but is more easily printed on my printer because everything has a flat surface and can be printed without the need for supports (except for the one I've built in to the Yolk - see post-printing info below!) in the orientations shown in the images. One of each item is needed, except for the Leg, where three are needed. There are four versions of the String Post with different clearances for the width of the string: 2.0mm (fitted and shown in the photos); 2.5mm; 3.0mm, 3.5mm. Only the correct size of String Post is needed! There are also two Bow Rest files. One has a shorter stem than the other. If your string touches onto the Clamp with the short stem bow rest, the long stem may work better. The centre Rod is screwed into the Yoke with an M6 x 25mm socket button domed head Allen screw. The Legs are attached to the Yoke with 3 M5 x 50mm hex head bolts and hex half-nuts (reduced thickness). The Bow Rest is secured to the Rod with an M6 x 5mm grub screw. The String Post is a push/friction fit. The bow stand was drawn from scratch with OnShape, and the drawing can be accessed from this link if you'd like to make adjustments: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/68e4e6e63e89090bd681d45e/w/d84797ad262f714a3902efd3/e/3d8d38255e26e8c7bc456968 All bolts/screws/nuts: https://www.gwr-fasteners.co.uk/ , who are also on Ebay.co.uk.
