Recycling Bin Key

Recycling Bin Key

thingiverse

A key to open up the bane of my life, the recycling bins distributed by Glasgow City Council Inc. Those things actually make recycling difficult, by having a small hole in the top that you can't fit large milk bottles or cereal boxes through without folding them over, and which also have bristles to thank your effort with a fine spray of bin juice. F that S. Pop the latch on the lid and pour your recyclable materials in. Update: I redesigned the key's shape to give it a better fit, a better grip, a string hole easier to thread, less material, and extra strength at the base of the corner. Also it looks way cooler. ^_^ Instructions I suggest that anyone generating gcode for this in skeinforge either deactivates the 'cool' tab, or reduces the minimum orbit radius to below 5mm for this print, unless they have very well tuned retraction control. (see my first result) The design was meant to be a simple one, with no overhangs whatsoever, as it was designed to be my first print after an initial test. It should be easy enough for anyone to print even after the redesign. There's a short handle that shouldn't get in the way, with a handy string hole. Tested version 2 now and it works.
