The 3D design of a red ant was initially created in 3ds Max 2009 software. The final images were rendered with VRay version 1.50 Sp2, and the model has been mapped but not completely smoothed. Available formats for this model include .3ds, .obj, and .fbx. The latter contains a low-poly model of the ant that can be used to achieve varying levels of smoothness.
