Created for a unique aquarium project: Fish Aquarium - 38 Models, 100+ renderings, one download!I was intrigued by this particularly attractive sea star the first time I stumbled across it and decided to base my design from it. Like many creatures it has a variety of names, such as Red-Knobbed Sea Star, Red Spine Star, African Star, African Red-Knobbed Sea Star, and other such combinations I'm sure...The dorsal surface of these echinoderms (not starfish) have a spiny bumpy knobby extrusion pattern in different red and orange hues while the body is grayish or tan. They may look friendly and passive enough, but these are aggressively hungry and would prey on sleeping, slow and weak fish to capture fooood!Some cool sea-star stuff in general:No brains!!Filtered sea water for blood!Can regenerate limbs!Copyright © 2012 Krista Casal.
