Redcat Everest-10 Velcro Body Mount (w/Rock Sliders)

Velcro body mounts for [Redcat Everest-10](https://www.redcatracing.com/products/everest-10-1-10-scale-crawler-2-4ghz?variant=31050558734426) 1:10 rock crawler. Redcat seems to be a fan having body mounts on the sides of the vehicle, which makes the top nice but MAN are they a pain to get the mount holes right when setting up a new body. This is based on the concept I saw on [youtube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5o-WkwDyymA) for velcro body mounts for a Redcat Ground Pounder. _(note: this is not my video, and it is for a different model)_ These mounts replace the stock body pin posts and provide a surface for [heavy-duty velcro](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00006IC2T/?th=1) you can use in place of the pins. The stock screws for the body mount posts should tap in to the opening nicely, the opening is 12mm deep. I used M3x12 screws for mine. The chassis wall is about 3mm thick so you could use up to a 14mm long screw. As the inspiration video suggests, use the soft side on the frame and the rough side on the body so it does not scratch the inside accidentally. I used a razor blade to trim the velcro down to match the size of the mount. The velcro has very strong adhesive, I have not tried to remove it from the inside of the body so I do not know if it will remove nicely. You could remove the body mount and go back to the pins so long as you open the holes through the velcro on the body so the pins can fit through. ## v2 Additions: I added a new version of the velcro body mount that has flat outside supports, and added clip-on rock sliders. These make for a nice scale look, but the intent was more functional. After using them for a couple days i noticed it was hard to get the body on square quickly. These act as a flat lower platform for the body to rest on to make it quick and easy to take it on and off with proper alignment.
