Redcat Gen 8 Center Skid Plate Lock Nut Block

thingiverse

This is a block to take up the gap in the center skid plate for the Redcat Gen 8 International Harvester Scout II scale crawler. Due to the part having a void for the molding process, lock nuts are used from the factory to help keep the rear upper link screws from loosening up. This lock nut block fills the void, and helps keep the screw in place without having to use a lock nut. Additional hardware needed: 2pcs: M3x25mm button head To install, remove the upper and lower link screws to get the links out of the way. Now insert the block into the void from the bottom of the skid plate, and reinstall both links and screws. For best results, using M3x25mm screws going into the lock nut block is recommended. #####Redcat parts on Thingiverse are released under the Creative Commons License Attribution- NonCommercial- ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).
