File SpurGear_Module08_32DP_45T.stl This is the gear spare part of redcat gen8 rc car, Module 0.8 , 32DP, 45Teeth, it works with the redcat pinion gear 17T (part no. 11177) You can also order a plastic one from redcat, $5, not extremely expensive, or even better, there is a metal version $10, or print this file. SpurGear_06_48_50T_Tamiya.stl This is a special gear, it works with Tamiya small pinion gears(module 0.6, 48DP), 50Teeth. It does NOT works with the Redcat original pinion gear 17T (0.8 32DP part NO 11177). The reason I made these two spur gears is because, last week I purchased a RedCat Gen8 PACK (Pre-assembled chassic), all is good , however I didn't realize this PACK does NOT come with the pinion gear!!!! The pinion gear is not very common like a motor or ESC or radio, so I don't have it, and the store doesn't have it....and many online RC store don't have it, some do, and need to pay for shipping (international shipping) and wait for long time. Then what do I do ? later on I had a idea, I thought I could use some TAMIYA pinion gears from many years ago of my old models.....installed, powerd on the motor, but nothing really moved and there is some huge noise and the redcat gen8's spur gear is somehow damaged, a little bit.... then I realized the Tamiya pinion gears are not compatible with redcat gen8 spur gear. Then here we are, file1 is the gen8's spur gear, not sure how long it would last though, the original spur gear is also plastic, so should be about the same. And the 2nd file, it works with tamiya pinions gears, installed and tested on the redcat gen8 pack....so just in case, if you don't have the redcat gen8 pinion gear (11177) like me and can only use a tamiya small pinion gear, you can use this file2. Print advice: use PETG, or even better , use nylon. PLA shouldn't last long. print support is necessary. Final thought: redcat gen8 PACK really should include the pinion gear!
