Reflex Hammer

Reflex Hammer

thingiverse

This is a reflex (patella) hammer that we designed to be used for doctors. It was made for the Humanitarian Engineering & Social Entrepreneurship (HESE) Program at Penn State University. They are working in conjunction with Project Kijenzi, which is providing necessary healthcare in areas that struggle to afford it. This reflex hammer is meant to be a lightweight, economical design that is easy to mass produce for doctors in low-income areas of the world. We ran into some issues with the size of the screw and tap, but those have now been resolved as the system securely fastens the two parts together. Created By: Allen Farabaugh & Jamie Kalmbach
