Refrigerator Handle Replacement Part for Whirlpool fridge

After searching online and looking for a replacement part for my refrigerator at my rental I could not find one that works, so I designed this piece based on measurements from the original broken part. After taking lots of very detailed measurements using a set of digital calipers, I modeled it in Inventor, stress tested it using Inventor's tools, and then 3D printed it on an Ultimaker 2 Extended. Print Settings Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker 2 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Infill: 100% Notes: Print solid for best results. Rotate to lay flat on longest sides. Keeping dimensions locked/ constrained, resize so longest side is 41.00 mm Printed in silver metallic PLA because that is what was loaded in the printer. Post-Printing You might want to use some sandpaper to clean it up. I had to gently tap the metal handle part shown in the image above to get it to sit in the opening. The stress testing ran relatively quickly. I didn't have a setting for PLA, so I set Inventor to run the test with the part being printed in ABS which I made an educated guess as to what the OEM part was made from. Overall it took me about 6 hours to design it in Inventor and about an hour to print it and 10 minutes to install it. I will add specific brand /model information soon.
