Rega Planar 3 turntable lid hinge

My Rega Planar 3 Turntable's hinges broke clean off. I really love this turntable but without the hinges it makes the lid a real nuisance. Be very careful removing the old hinge from the lid, they are fastened with some sort of rivet which will have to be removed. I used a drill, flat screwdriver, thin nose pliers and a little patience to remove the hinges from the lid. The lid seems to be manufactured from perspex which is normally very brittle and therefore care must be taken not to break it. I used PLA for the print, the bendable part ends up being two layers thick @ 0.2mm layer height in the print. I am pretty sure the printed part will not last with PLA. Will be worth testing different filaments, please let me know your results with other materials like ABS, PETG etc. using the comments. You will require four short 4mm bolts with nuts to secure the hinges to the lid. Currently it is fully functional and now also very easy to repair when needed :-) ####Update: 9 Jan 2018 Added a version which provides a support to screw M4 screw directly into the hinge to fasten and ensure nuts do not hinder 90% movement of the turntable lid. ####Update: 7 May 2018 Added hinge holder, have not test printed yet so consider this part a work in progress. Let me know if it works for you. After initially printing in PLA I can confirm this material is not a good choice and does not last. This is a living hinge and a flexible filament should be more durable. Found references to polypropylene and polyethylene used for living hinges but not sure if this material can be using in FDM Printer. Also found out that the original fasteners are called "eyelets" you will need 4mm eyelets which can be installed with an eyelet punch if so desired.
