A ladies black silk and ivory fan with filigree style ivory structure, the slk is in good condition. Each ivory bone is decorated with a gold pattern. The centre of the ivory structure where the fan pleats has a small break, this is tied together with nylon thread, securing the ivory pleat from further breakage. There is no makers mark on the fan. The fan is handmade and dates to circa 19th century, during the Regency period of Queen Victorias reign. The fan would have belonged to a lady with considerable wealth and worn at social occassions.
