Regenerate your Articulated finger extensions parts with labels

Requires the parts from JulienJeanroy's Articulated finger extensions https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4342323/remixes I am including an SCAD file you can use to emboss labels on your parts. I am not going to re-generate the parts so you can use whatever labels you want and regen the STL yourself. I am including one sample STL file. If you are making multiple hands you just find the part number and worry about sorting, finding or mixing them up. If you are going to host a group of hand makers, labels will save the day. How to get going: You need openscad an open source and available at https://www.openscad.org/downloads.html In the script update the path to where you are storing your files. Forward slashes and no / at the end. hand_stl_path = "G:/Articulated+finger+extensions/files"; A trick in open scad is you can drag an STL into the program code and it will give you the text to copy out and put on this line. Once you set the path simply uncomment the part you are going to work with by removing the two // in front of the line... like line ph("M1",[-42, 22,-12],str(hand_stl_path, "/MF_Pha_A.stl")); This line will put a label of M1 on the MF_pha_A.stl object. Only uncomment one line at a time. In Openscad, set the two options, press F5 to preview. You might have to zoom out to see where the object is located. F6 to render, export STL. NOTES: Two parts would not re-generate... one is MF_Pha_B_.stl and the other is THUMB_Pha_B.stl. These are distinctly different and will be your unlabeled part of different sizes. I did not bother labeling the gears and AXE since each hand needs one. The Thin shafts are marked with squares to tell them apart. // 1 Middle finger // 2 squares = Pinky // 3 squares = index The MF parts I cut a semi-circle for the rivets to recess into. You can see in Julien's photo he made those flush... some people may not be able to do that.
