Reliant Three Wheeler A-Frame Front Suspension Bush. I run a 40 year old Reliant three wheeler that uses the standard A-Frame mount for the front suspension and steering. The A-Frame is mounted onto the steel chassis using two pairs of rubber bushes held down by two retaining clamps. The problem with these mounts is that they have a tendency to stick, hence they have to be well greased and left a little loose I wanted to experiment with a more reflexive suspension and hence decided to try using solid PLA A-Frame bushes made to roughly the same pattern, also users could just as easily print their bushes in a rubber filament should they wish... Other classic cars use these bushes. Printer: JGAurora A5 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 100% 3 Shells Filament: Regular PLA Black (or polyurethane based) Notes: All support needed for prints, rafts optional. Keep same orientation for print strength. 3D Printer: JGAurora A5 OS: OS: Linux Mint XFce 20.1 “Ulyana” 64-bit Software: FreeCAD Version 0.19.; ideaMaker Ver. 4.1.1.5050 FreeCAD Version 0.19. was used to create all of the designs... I created an alternative replacement for the Anti-Roll Bar bushes used on Reliant three wheelers: a 3D printable version that can either be made in one piece rubber like the original or a two piece hard plastic version that allows faster suspension reactance for better road holding....
