This relief sculpture was inserted into the east façade of the Villa Borghese in Rome in 1615 then displayed in the Gladiator room in 1784. Heavily restored with the use of a recycled column of the Ionic order (the grooves are still visible on the reverse side). It is believed to have adorned the front of Roman sarcophagus from 160-170.
