Placa de loza fechada el 2 de mayo de 1814 (como reza la inscripción) y realizada en conmemoración de la defensa de Madrid el 2 de mayo de 1808 frente al ejército francés. Destacados aparecen Daoiz y Velarde, capitanes del Real Cuerpo de Artillería, que murieron en la batalla. La loza fue realizada en los talleres de José Ibáñez en su fábrica de Sargadelos (Lugo) 77 x 51 x 4 cm MAN 59563 Earthenware plaque dated May the 2nd, 1814 (as stated in the inscription) and held in commemoration of the defense of Madrid on May the 2nd, 1808 against the French army. Highlighted are Luís Daoiz and Pedro Velarde, captains of the Royal Artillery Corps, who died in battle. It was made in the workshops of José Ibáñez in his factory Sargadelos (Lugo, Spain)
