Remix of DIY Dremel CNC by Nikodem Bartnik. **It appears some of the STL files didn't load properly to Thingiverse. I've reuploaded the missing ones. If you have less then 34 STL files, please download the whole package one more time.** Main differences: - To be used with base from plywood, MDF or any other material in sheet, preferably with compartment below the bed. - Added Rapsberry PI zero W stand. - Y motors are at the front. - Y motors are intended to be mounted with connectors facing bottom. That kind of mount require 40mm long nema17 motors on Y axis. - Added aluminium plate, to stifen whole Y carriage - Each mount on the opposite side of X and Y axis has two oposing bearings. - Drag chains. - Endstops on all axes. Printed parts on Y and Z axes have already holes for wiring, so there are no loose wires. With 450x500mm base, you can reach ~240x340mm working area. If you decide to make a compartment below the bed, make sure it is at least 58mm deep. This machine uses Arduino UNO with CNC shield V3. For more information about electronics all electrical connection and software check [original Nikodem's design](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3004773). This project is also mechanically nearly identical to that design. **Example of size and length of elements** The machine was designed to fit on 450x500mm base. Assuming: - you have a base that is 500mm along the Y axis, and 450mm along the X axis - you will leave 35mm of X axis free for drag chain - you will use part 1.01A and 40mm stepper motors on Y axis you will need: - Y-rods: 2 x 12x460mm - Y-leadscrews: 2 x 8x450mm - X-rods: 2 x 12x400mm - X-leadscrew: 1 x 8x377mm - Z-rods: 2 x 12x160mm - Z-leadscrew: 1 x 8x145mm Leadscrew supports are designed to fit 608 bearings (7 of them: 4 for Y, 2 for X and 1 for Z). For Y and Z carriage you can use either 2 long (60mm) or 4 short (30mm) linear bearings. X carriage requires 4 short bearings (it is wider than single long bearing). You will need 12 short ones.
