MPMD's motor is slightly protruding, making it challenging to work with. A spacer could potentially solve the issue, but Monoprice drills a hole in the shaft for the set screw, rendering that solution useless. To overcome this problem, I removed the base and created a standalone setup. Stabilizing supports will likely be necessary on the base plate alone to ensure stability.
