I needed a spool holder for my Da Vinci that wouldn't force me to sever the top. This design was sparked by deluxe spool holders. The lid must slide upward to secure the brackets, then back down with plenty of room left for opening. The brackets have cutouts for daVinci spines and slanted overhangs eliminating support needs.
