Remixed: Spring loaded extruder for Leapfrog Creatr
thingiverse
Initially, I experienced issues with my Leapfrog printer regarding filament tolerances. The extruder occasionally failed to transport filament, causing nozzle clogs during print jobs. To resolve this issue, I remixed the extruder from ROB65's design found on Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:62468). This modification aimed to restore original filament feeding capabilities. The updated extruder has significantly improved performance and simplified filament changes. To implement this fix, follow the instructions and load ROB65's files, replacing the idler-latch-V2-xxx.stl files with my xxxmsa.stl versions. Don't forget to obtain a M6 nut for installation! In my first version, washers were not required for motor mounting. On February 17th, 2014, I upgraded the stl files with an additional 2mm material to better accommodate the M6 nut.
