This is a work-in-progress version of the nimble clone I've been working on for a few months so I figured I'd throw it up on the internet. I'm still playing with the tolerances on the worm screw and gear to make it work better right after printing, but if you decide to try build one, make sure the worm screw can turn easily without catching by smoothing out high spots on the worm screw a small bit at a time. This should, in theory, mount on any Nimble V1 extruder mount. Probably. I designed it around the HEVO Nimble mount with an E3D v6, but as it's very much a WIP, YMMV. I'm still very much working out the kinks, so I'm not focused on making it mount compatible with anything else just yet. Gear ratio is 18:1 with a much smaller diameter drive hob than the Nimble, which should be approximately equivalent to a 24:1 ratio on the Nimble. 2019/11/23: * Added new cam lock for the breech allowing more direct and even pressure on the filament without bottoming out against the case * Added new upper and lower cases for internal bearing tolerances/alignment and the new cam lock breech * Added new breech gate and bearing pin to allow more clearance for pushing filament into the extruder gear with more pressure (Rough) BOM: * 1x M2 screw for the breech hinge * 1x M3x8mm screw for the breech cam lock * 2x Long M3 screws for the mount (I think I used 35 and 40mm). * 4x M3 screws for the stepper mount * 2x M5 screws for the stepper mount * 2x M5 T-slot nuts for the stepper mount * 2x M3 nuts for the mount screws * 3x 5x8x2.5mm bearings * 2x 12x8x3.5mm bearings * 1x 5mm to 3mm brass coupler (drilled out from 3mm to 1/8" for the drive cable) * 1x 1/8" flexible shaft with a squared off end (I used this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PLCKQMQ) * 1x 5mm I.D. E3D Hobb-Gobblin extruder gear (I used a shorter grub screw from the couplers I got, the E3D grub screw was too long) * 1x 1/4" O.D.
