Removable Extruder Fan Holder A8

Removable Extruder Fan Holder A8

This design allows you to easily replace your filament by manually removing the extruder fan. The extruder fan sits on on sliding slot, and to remove it you just need to pull it up. This is a remix from 85holmberg's design https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2326111 In his design you had to use other screw size and need to cut the extruder heatsink. I did not want to cut the heatsink as I might need it in the future, so I redesigned his concept. In this design, I removed the heatsink and put the fan at 15 degrees, blowing directly to the extruder parts. As the moving air might reach the nozzle and cooling it, I designed an exhaust below the fan so that the air moves through there not affecting the nozzle temp. Some may say removing the heatsink is a bad move, but it is working for me! Temps are okay, and prints were not affected. This piece weights almost nothing, so it will not affect any carriage movement. What you need to know: - print the design - remove the heatsink and fan cover - use the same two 50mm screws to put the mount in place - simply slide the fan in!
