Rene Magritte 3D sculpture

thingiverse

This thing is a 3D sculpture of the famous painting "Le viol" from 1934 by Belgian artist Rene Magritte.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ren%C3%A9_Magritte I made it as an exercice to practice with mixing meshes in Meshmixer and for sculpting in Sculptris. It is intended to be printed but I didn't have the time yet. Updated : I have made a second version that IMHO is closer to Magritte's original artwork. I slightly turned the head on the right and refined the hair to better fit the painting. For more information about this thing, please visit http://www.reppersdelight.spacymen.com/index.php/post/2014/02/12/Having-fun-with-Meshmixer-and-Sculptris Edited : I finally found the time to print it and the sculpture can stand by itself which is a good point ! Instructions You may print it either in ABS or PLA. Use something like 2 or 3 shells and about 30% infill. You can also print it hollow if you prefer. If you do print it I will be glad to see the result. Cheers !
