ReP_AL Micro Star Hexacopter 115mm motor to motor POWER MACHINE! Quads are great for their design simpicity and are the cheapest to build, but Hexas are just cool. The sound and the extra power from the additional 2 motors are worth the extra investment. You carry the same weight in control board, FPV camera and battery but have 2 extra motors for a minimal extra frame weight penalty. This makes a hexacopter a great platform for the lightweight micros This design uses 8.5mm brushed motors, an F3 board (which has the ability to run 6 brushed motors) and a satellite receiver (in my case Spektrum) . Battery can be slung on top of the top frame, or underneath. I find it easier on the bottom as there are a lot of props and the battery wires can easily block a prop. I now attached an FPV camera to the front flange using hot glue. Even with the additonal camera weight it has loads of power!! Enjoy!! :) Main Frame 9g Top Cover 3g (not absolutely necessary to use but adds to the design) Total weight with 6 motors, FC, Top Cover (everything except battery) 54g. Flight Controller: F3 Brushed Motors: 8.5mm 15000rpm Flight software: Betaflight Rear LED light controlled by Betaflight Props: 55mm with 1mm holes Battery: I use a Turnigy Nano Tech 35-70C 1S 750mah Flight Time: 5-6mins
