Replacement "bolt" for Whirlpool & Kitchenaid dishwashers

thingiverse

There's a design flaw in some Whirlpool / Kitchenaid dishwashers, specifically in the wheels on the bottom rack. They are held in place by a plastic bolt, and in a few years time these bolts deteriorate. Evenutally, the wheel just sorta falls off when you least expect it. It's great. I bought a replacement wheel assembly on Amazon, but those weren't much better. So I set out to improve on the design and voila, these. I printed mine in PETG at 100% infill for strength. I am confident these will outlast the originals. There are 3 files, 2 of which have the bolts printed sideways. While a little uglier and you have to contend with supports, they are much stronger printed on their side, at least with forced-filament-type printer.
