Replacement brake for Quickie wheelchair standard brake system

<p>On my <i>Quickie Neon</i> wheelchair, I've ended up losing my 2 brakes, because the nyloc nuts become loose with time and with the vibrations.</p><p>I designed a 3D printable replacement part that does not require a nut and that is as solid and as efficient as the basic part.</p><p>As this part is screwed on (almost) all its length, it has way less much risk than the original to unscrew itself and fall.</p><p>This part fits all <i>Quickie </i>wheelchairs that have the standard brakes.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>I have also provided an .<i>stl </i>file without the thread if you prefer</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Printing instructions:</strong></p><p>I advise you to print it with the following parameters:</p><ul><li>PETG (or anything stronger than PLA)</li><li>3 perimeters</li><li>(at least) 15% of gyroid filling</li><li>print the top of the piece with a 100% filling</li><li>a layer height of 0.1mm to have a good printed thread for the screw</li></ul><p>I provided the PrusaSlicer project file (the <i>.3mf</i>)<strong> </strong>with everything properly configured.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Installation procedure:</strong></p><ol><li>unscrew the M6 screw until it is aligned with the lever arm</li><li>insert your new part in the lever arm like with the original part</li><li>hold the new part with a pliers to avoid breaking the portion that fits on the lever arm</li><li>screw the M6 screw to the end, you will have to force it at the end because the printed thread stops to maintain the screw well</li><li>you can add a nyloc nut if you want :")</li></ol>
