Replacement capo spring guide
thingiverse
I'm assisting a friend with his broken Planetwave capo, so I've taken on the challenge of designing and printing a replacement part. Pictures have been included to clearly identify which component is in need of repair. After preliminary testing, it appears that my efforts have paid off so far. The materials required for this project consisted of 11 inches of 1.75mm filament, along with approximately 45 minutes at high fill density settings. However, it's become clear that printing straight up and down wasn't the most effective approach, as some trial runs showed significant defects. Therefore, I'm adjusting my strategy by tilting the print bed at a 75-degree angle on the x-axis, which will prevent horizontal layers from causing these problems in future attempts.
