Replacement Fuel Valve Knob - KTM

After breaking the fuel tank on/off/reserve valve knob for the third time, we designed this knob as a replacement. This plastic knob is a bit more forgiving and should not break on sharp impacts, such as the bike being laid down in rocks. (1) Perform a trial fit the replacement knob over the existing knob. If what's remaining of the existing knob is too large to go into the replacement knob, simply use a file to shape it so it fits. (2) Drill a small hole approx. 2mm in diameter in what's left of the existing knob. (3) Thoroughly clean and degrease the existing knob. (4) Use an epoxy such as "JB Weld" and fill the inner chamber of the replacement knob just under 1/2 full. (5) Use a toothpick or something similar and push the epoxy into the four holes on each side of the inner chamber of the knob (6) Use the same toothpick and fill the hole you drilled in the existing knob with epoxy (7) Install the new knob over the old knob and ensure it is seated all the way. (8) Use tape to hold the knob in place while the epoxy sets up.
