Replacement Lid Handle for Ball Jam Maker

Replacement Lid Handle for Ball Jam Maker

This replacement handle was made to replace the Bakelite plastic handle on a Ball Jam/Jelly maker that I broke, but it should work for any pot lid as long as you get a knurled insert. I used the one from the old lid handle which can be extracted with a pair of pliers by breaking the Bakelite around it, or you could purchase a new one at a hardware store. You can tap the insert in with a hammer, glue isn't necessary but recommended. I don't recommend printing in PLA as this will be exposed to some heat, although this doesn't actually touch the food if you don't want to print in ABS then PETG should work well.
