Replica heatsink for ZX Spectrum+

Replica heatsink for ZX Spectrum+

thingiverse

This is a replica heatsink that is intended for attachment to a Sinclair ZX Spectrum+ case to make it cosmetically resemble the Spectrum 128k (fondly known as the 'Toastrack' or 'Toastie'. The Sinclair Spectrum+ is easy to find at reasonable prices, but Toasties are rarer and can be expensive. Many Retro enthusiasts have (or plan to) build one of the modern kits that replicate the Spectrum 128k accurately (including in physical dimensions) so these can be installed within a readily available Spectrum+ case - and by printing this heatsink and attaching it to the side of the case, it will look externally correct as well. Please note this is not designed to fit on a real Spectrum 128K case (not that you would likely want to), only on a Spectrum+ case. DISCLAIMER - THIS IS NOT A FUNCTIONAL HEATSINK! It's just cosmetic. It doesnt have the internal flanges required to contact the voltage regulator and - most importantly - it's not made of thermally conductive material! Sorry, I had to say it :)
