Replicator 2 Makerbot Extruder Upgrade Spring Tensioner

Replicator 2 Makerbot Extruder Upgrade Spring Tensioner

Recently I noticed my Replicator 2 was not feeding the filament properly even with the "free" Makerbot extruder upgrade. I performed the pinch test as the filament was feeding through and noticed that I was able to stop the filament from feeding. After many different modifications I came to realize that the spring that kept the whole thing under tension was just not providing enough tension. So I made this little thing to add some tension. Place it in the bottom notch of the extruder upgrade where the spring normally goes, then attach the spring between the top notch and the new tensioner notch. Print at 0.100 mm if possible. I hope this helps someone with extrusion problems.
