Replicator Dual X Axis Cable Chain With Support Track

Replicator Dual X Axis Cable Chain With Support Track

thingiverse

This is my variation on an X axis cable management chain. I had the inevitable X motor cable failure, and I wanted a way to make this a more controllable area of my printer. All the chains I found on Thingiverse either were too tight, let the cable bend too much, or had no support method for the chain. Here is my variation on an overly abundant theme. Instructions All these parts were meant to be printed without support or rafts. I needed 12 links of the main chain part, 1 of each end, and 1 support track. The top part screws to the X motor mount with a 10x3mm screw. Train your wires where you want them and use a zip tie in the provided holes. Thread another zip tie through the support track and the bottom connector. Hold the support track where the chain just misses the Y motor with the gantry all the way against the Y limit switch. Drill 2 3mm holes for the track, and use 2 20x3mm screws and nuts on the inside. Now tighten the bottom zip tie, and add another on the lower track.
