Replicator/FlashForge Heatsink Spacer (works on other Replicator clones)
thingiverse
Here is the spacer design that I created to help me out with my senior design project. It measures 3.3 millimeters in diameter and 7 millimeters outside diameter, plus it stands 9 millimeters tall. This particular spacer gets positioned between the heat sink and the fan on printers such as the MakerBot Replicator or clones, for those who are not familiar with that type of 3D printer. I lost a few spacers at first so I decided to make some more using my printer. It's best to use ABS when making this spacer since it is resistant to heat and doesn't melt easily - although I haven't tried printing with PLA yet. Instructions Measuring took me no time at all, but rendering the image of the spacer design took a bit longer since I had to experiment around for about five minutes before getting everything just right. As you can tell, beauty was not my main concern in creating this design. Recommended printing settings: Print it out at 100 percent solid Only use one outer layer thickness of .2 millimeters - really any layer height will work
