Replicator2 BONZA Personal transporter (MAGNETIC LEVITATION DISPLAY!).

The Bonza is a super cool futuristic transportation vehicle of the year 2040. It carries three Ultrapopethius PT-11 engines to allow vertical take-off and landing manoeuvres. Print it, Put magnets in it, Let it fly! Model is around 16011588 (scalable) Instructions Sadly enough I don't have a 3D printer, so you guys will have to see if everything fits as planned or not. If you want to make use of the magnetic levitation function, you need to have 5 things with you: 1: 1 x Permanent cylinder magnet (cheap stuff you can buy online) of 100mm diameter x 15mm height: http://www.supermagnete.de/dut/FE-S-100-15?img=4 2: 1 x Permanent little magnet to put in the vehicles base (I have made a room where you can put it in) of +/- 30mm x 15mm: http://www.supermagnete.de/dut/FE-Q-18-10-06 3: Some “invisible fishing” wire, so your Bonza doesn’t fly away. 4: Some glue and tape to fix the wire into the base and to fix the magnet in the vehicle. 5: Maybe some sanding paper, in order to slide the model together. Now, the idea is to put your big magnet underneath the base. You could print some nice aerial picture and glue it onto the top on top of the base just for decoration. On the bottom of the BONZA The is a little pocket I’ve made to put in the little magnet. Point the 2 magnets in a way they push each other away. Here is where the wire comes in… Inside the engines there are 2 loops. Make a knot in the wire and let it come out of the engine and put it into a little hole in the base. Then tape the wire to the bottom of the base. You need to do this four times. Put one wire through the hole in the nose and it will come out in the middle of the vehicle. Tape it between the parts. Do the same for the wire on its tail. Now you have to play a little with the length of each wire, in order to balance the display model out. I have done this before with airplane models and it just looks super awesome. So I’m very eager to see some pictures and to see if everything worked out fine. Have fun!
