The original Reprap Morgan tool-head by Quentin Harley was designed for a J-head hot-end. This replacement version is designed for use with an E3D V6 3 or 1.75 mm Bowden hot-end with a standard press-fit connector. The split tool-head design ensures that the hot-end is firmly clamped by its groove mount rather than relying on the original Morgan wire clip fitting which could compromise z-axis calibration following filament changes. An extender button is included in the scad file to allow the E3D's press-fit connector to be depressed for filament changes. The scad also includes options for fitting a bearing retainer ring, a capacitive z-probe, a LED lamp bracket, and a clip to attach an active cooling duct to the PSI B arm that carries the tool-head. Print Settings Printer: Reprap Morgan Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 70 % Notes: Print in ABS. Tool-head design includes required support structures. 2 parts of tool-head must be printed together and subsequently separated at the horizontal split line. Clamp bolts are 3 x 20 mm. Associated nuts are a tight fit in their nut-traps - heat them carefully with a soldering iron to seat them fully. Bearing retainer ring and lamp bracket attach with self-tapping screws retrieved from a VHS cassette tape (cut to length as needed). How I Designed This Designed from scratch in OpenScad using original Reprap Morgan toolhead dimensions.
