RepRap X-ends for self-aligning bronze bushings (and optionally Misumi leadscrews)

thingiverse

This is a version of my leadscrew X-ends that accept self-aligning bronze bushings with a 16mm outer diameter at the flange and Misumi leadscrews. The bronze bushings fit very tightly to M8 rods, so make sure you're using high-quality precision rods; cheaper drill rod may bind. You can get the bushings and leadscrews at http://techpaladin.com/ If you use these bushings, you may be interested in my compatible X-carriage: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:16397 Update: I've uploaded versions with M8 nut traps that are compatible with standard threaded rod nuts as well as McMaster leadscrews and nuts (which I also sell: http://techpaladin.com/store/#ecwid:category=1941327&mode=product&product=8445245) Instructions Insert the leadscrew nut into the bottom of the piece with with the slit in the nut lined up with the screw hole. Then insert a short M3 screw to prevent the nut from rotating. Insert your bronze bushings bushings into the top and bottom of the bushing tube. If they don't quite fit due the the vagaries of FDM printing, you may need to ream the hole a bit.
