Retaining Bracket for Quickie P222 Swing-away Hanger (Bolted)

NB: These are bolted-on versions of my previous brackets. The advantage is that they are held more firmly in place. The disadvantage is that they require a tool to remove. The swing-away foot rest hangers on the Quickie P222 are difficult to operate with one hand. Once released, off-axis pressure from the foot causes the hanger to go out of the vertical. The latching mechanism does not work properly unless the hanger bushing is pressed against the receiver which requires two hands. This bracket is designed to slip over the latch assembly and hold the bushing against the receiver. This version was designed to use the existing hex bolts requires a hex key (Allen wrench) to add and remove. I recommend storing the hex key on the underside of the hanger skirt with a magnet so that it's ready to hand when needed. This bracket was designed to mate with the Quick P222 70 Degree Swing-Away Hanger. It may also work with hangers which use the same pin & latch mechanism.
