Retractable landing gear with shock absorber

A set of retractable landing gear with shock absorbers made for a quadcopter project. The shocks have adjustable pre-loading and are quite strong. The bracket is designed to fit a 14mm tube, Turnigy Talon v2 compatible. I use the same brackets to mount battery cages, electronics, and just about everything else on my quad. See instructions for assembly and required materials. update: Uploaded the feet for the shock. just a simple post for now. Instructions See bottom of page for materials the pictures should be in order of assembly Asemble the shock Insert the #10-32 nut into the bottom of the shock Insert the sprint inside the shock Push the #10-32 bolt into the shock from the top and thread thought the nut. you can adjust the pre-load by tightening and loosening the bolt Thread the #6-32 bolt from the bottom of the shock to the top, secure with a small amount of epoxy Push the shock into the retract and tighten Attach retract to the bracket Insert the nylon locking nuts to the bottom halve of the bracket Place the retract on top of the nuts and secure with 4 #6 sheet metal screws. (note, I added space for #4 nuts on the inside of the bracket so you can use #4 bolts if you want) Mount bracket to quadcopter Use the #6-32 machine screw to clamp the bracket to the quadcopter tube Done! I use these electric retracts, they are inexpensive and work great.hobbyking retracts you will also need the following hardware for each landing gear: 4x #6 by .5" sheet metel screws 1x spring 1" long 1x #10-32 machine screw 3" long w/nut 1x #6-32 machine screw 3" long w/nut 2x #6-32 nylon lock nut 2x #6-32 machine screw .75" long
