People buy older houses and wish to maintain the character of the original. Once you have replaced the old plumbing and the old electrical wiring the problem remains to keep the look of the original light switches and outlets (GPOs) The company CLIPSAL in Australia ( I believe a division of Schneider) have inspired this solution with their ICONIC range of switches which have replaceable "skins". I have made a skin for the double power-point. (Clipsal Iconic 3025VW Double Power Point GPO 10Amp 250v a.c) The retro design was based on the old (broken) Bakelite one pictured as "original". A few attempts were made in PLA (blue) and then ABS in the darkest brown colour I could get. The toggle switch actuators are printed separately and a 1mm dia. wire used to make the hinge. As the dimensions are quite critical, other printers may not reproduce it exactly and you may need to tweak the model on your slicer.
